Challenge 1

Globalisation: 
  • because of improvement of technology and a reduction of barriers the share of goods and knowledge has been fasten up
  • also services and cultures between nations and people are spreading quick
  • in consequence: we have a fast developing economy, in which many countries are involved-->it avoids poverty in lots of countries and offers new opportunities and challenges
  • lots of problems because of globalisation: environment has been harmed because of agriculture, industrial gases and waste, changes are so big-->most people come back to their familiar routes, spreading of diseases of human, animals and plants (pig influencia, HIV/AIDS)
education:
  • it means any kind of interaction or experience that forms a human
  • moulding his mind or character, his abilities (mental or physical)
  • educational experiences can be get during interactions or on your own by seeing, doing or hearing something


sexual education:
  • is a kind of education in which the human sexual anatomy, sexual saferty and health and also emotional relations were tought
  • mostly family members or other institutions (e.g. schools) give that kind of education and also informations about what do if a sexual abuse happens
  • especially in the third world it is very important to spread the knowledge about safer sex because the rate of HIV-infections is increasingly risen
  • not just HIV/AIDS but also other diseases which are gotten when you don`t have safer sex are spreading all over the world


Challenge 2

Culture:
  •  culture is created by the interaction between people.
  • in these interaction an exchange of language, values, art, science, thougths take place
  • above these a cuture is created
  • every person choose for himself the most important aspects to him to form his own cultural life
cultural competence:
  • gives you the ability to interact in an effectiv way with people having a different culture
  • four basics, to be a cultural competent person:
  1.  to be aware of yor own culture
  2. respect and tolerate culture differences
  3. be able to adapt your behavior
  4. to be able to cope with different cultures
 multiculturalism:
  • describes a state, institution or social situation in which people from different cultures are involved 
  • so a mix in language, values and other cultural trades is the result
  • named "melting pot"-"salad bowl" because of the cultural variety
  • also a defintion for a person, who has more than one culture in them


Challenge 3

open-minded:
  • ready to accept new ideas, arguments, opinions of others
  • unpredjudiced
tools:
  • here it is used as instruments/ aids/ proposals of ideas which can be used to become open-minded


Challenge 4

value:
  • a value can be cultural, personal or material
  • a cultural or/and personal value is a relative one, because everyone defines it on its own
  • one value can be important to a person and doesn`t mean anything to another person
  • everyone creates its own value system which consists of values which are important for your life

 ethnic:
  • related to large groups of people, which are classified by racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic, cultural backgrounds
  • e.g. ethnical minority in Germany: Sorbs
categorization:
    • can be described as a process in which thoughts, ideas or objects/person are realised and after that defining them after certain criticals to understand these in conclusion
    • putting one of these into a category means to form a connection between the term of the category and the one you put inside
    • categorization is a fundamental basic for language, flora and fauna, food...
    • categorization we do every day by putting people and their behavior in several categories mostly created by predjudices
    Challenge 5:

    inclusion:
    • means, that we have to integrate and have to be integrated in all-day-situations and institutions (schools, jobs, kindergarten)
    • to share our experiences, talents and goods with other people to form a strong community
    • to get a real chance in society-namely to feel like a part of it and feel accepted as the person you are
    • to be involved in all activities you are able to do--> inclusion is a part of everbody`s life
     minority:
    • a group of persons which are less than another, stronger group, which maybe controlls important processes (trades, industry)
    • can be a racial, religious (e.g. Jewish people in Germany), political minority or just peopel who are thinking they are different from the others (Vegetarians)
     ideology:
    • an ideology is a collection of ideas which forms further goals or expectations, which shall be reached through activities
    • it can be seen as a vision someone is orientating on
    • mostly be found in political parties or philosophical discussions
    • most idealistic people try to convince other ones to believe in what they are believing at

    diversity:
    • to recognize that every person is different from each other and to realize that each person is unique in its own way
    • you have to handle diversity with respect and tolerance, because you also wanted to be accepted although you are a completely unique person 
    • diversity we can find in following dimensions: race, gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, religious or political believing or ideologies
     creativity:
    • means the kind a person presents himself or his products/thoughts/clothes/decisions
    • creativity is always depending by the point of view, different opinions about creativity are normal and desired
    • especially kids are more creative than adults because they don`t orientate on standards, they are just doing it and create their own world
    awareness:
    • is an ability to notice events, objects, subjects and persons consciously
    • this level of consciousness is always connected with
    • being aware of something like my own culture, values and handle these knowledge
