Brief reflection on the challenge
In this challenge we were talking about identity and which kind of identities everyone of us have. Especially what identity means to someone`s belonging. We learned to seperate local, national and global identity from each other and we had also a closer look to the terms "hibridity" and "transnationalism".I can say that I didn`t know about several identities each one of us had, especially not what the are meaning indeed. This challenge gave me the chance to realize how strong my identities are coine and which one is my strongest identity at all. Therefore we made a pie chart with categories which are belonging to the 3 types of identity. Doing that with kids you can see, what are important to them and how they realize themselves as a person. Especially in classes with lots of ethnics it is senseful to know which categories of identities defines a kid`s life. My pie chart shows me that I have a strong local identity because I have a close relationship to my family and friends and also my study takes a big part of life.Comparing our pie chart to each other we realized, that are completely different from each other, because everyone of our group has other aspects which are important to him. But a conseqence of globalisation in our world can also be seen in these pie charts: most of us are strongly connecte to what is familiar to them. "Back to the routes" because of being afraid of unfamiliar things in our globalised world seems to be an often used way for old but also for yong people.
